I thought about this list for several days, trying to figure out how to respond. I was stranded at the airport for 9 hours today and suddenly found myself thinking that even though I have made mistakes, even though I have not always lived my life, or made choices the way I wanted to. I don't have any regrets. I thought today of all the things in my life that I would have changed if I could have, and I thought of none.
You said that they don't have to be big things in order for you to regret them. But to me, regret means that if you could change something about your past, you would do something different about the things you regret. My realization is that it's not to late to take the who poster down, and it's not to late to learn from your mistakes. If you want to live life in a way that puts love first, then learn from your "regrets."
I half agree. Having regrets isn't about sitting on you butt and not doing anything about it... it's about changing what you can. Yes, the Who poster can come down (and it will), but I also regret not telling my family "I love you" as often as they deserve. That means I can start reminding myself that I should tell them those three words more often... and I have been
