Escape 043

'When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.' --Sherlock Holmes.

He would disapprove of this entire affair, I am certain.

Consult Watson's notes for facts and references.

Current Victim List:
--Young girl
--Young girl
--Woman
--Young man
--Old man
--Man

Pattern of Deaths:
--Every six hours, at 0000, 0600, 1200, and 1800 hours.
--Deaths coincide with stops in station.
--Three female, three male. (Female victim next?)

Physical Murderer Theory
--Rationally, the only plausible explanation
--Logically, a reasonably implausible explanation
o) Motive?
o) Opportunity?
o) Connection between victims?
Supernatural Murderer Theory
--Rationally implausible. However, little in this City adheres to the bounds of rationality
--Logically supported by several facts:
o) Victim #1's "strange background noises"
o) Victim #2's electrical failure and suddenly dead flowers
o) Victim #3's "confrontation with an entity"
o) Victim #4's testimony: reference to triggers, exorcisms, spirits
o) Interference with device functionality
Death Train Theory
--Rationally implausible. See above
--Logically supported by several facts:
o) All criteria listed under Supernatural Murderer Theory
o) Apparent presence of anticoagulant on floors
o) Presence of monster to prohibit egress while still allowing new victims to board
o) Unnatural visions outside windows
o) Victim #4's apparent martyrdom: attempting to divert possible witnesses away from scene of crime, rather than seeking help
o) Twelve cars, deaths occur on iterations of six and twelve, six victims thus far
o) Connection between victims: all were riding the death train
o) Opportunity: the setting is the murderer
o) Motive: ???
Possible Courses of Action:
--Sit and do nothing like Watson: unacceptable
--Solicit surface dwellers for assistance: organize list of supplies/resources needed
--Enlist aid from supernaturally-minded investigators: further inquiry is always necessary
--Group possible victims together at predicted times of death: possible preventative measure; recommended by Victim #4; also, more witnesses
--Investigate back of train: where was Victim #4 headed?

[/Theories]

It would be unwise to remain alone for the duration of this trip, particularly around the hours of 6:00 and 12:00, AM and PM.

To any current residents of the train with experience in supernatural phenomena, particularly in the nature of malevolent spirits, please respond to this message.

[OOC: I think everything here has come either from Justin's facts, Rudy's experience, or his own extrapolations, but if I'm overstepping, mods, let me know! So Rudy, being properly freaked out by people dying (occasionally right in front of him), has decided to handle this traumatic experience in one of the only ways he knows how: by mentally forcing it into the mold of a murder mystery, and vowing to solve the case. Or, y'know, finding a way off the train.

PEOPLE INTERESTED IN INVESTIGATION: feel free to threadjack this post everywhere, toss around theories, use it as a hub for conversation, &etc!]

obviously up to something, would have preferred garbage detail, curse: midnight express weekend, not as planned, made of hax, i want to go home, let's get dangerous, all aboard the death train, do not disturb, this will not end well, perpetually deadpan, affected, rudy is not amused, investigates like hercule poirot, actually sad for once, forced to socialize, evil genius, super sekrit mad skillz
