Myth: Lancelot, knight of the Round Table
About your myth: Once upon a time there was a good knight who was honorable and strong, who joined the Round Table and went on many adventures and won many victories for his King. He preferred to win, and usually did so, and was someone that the other knights were glad to have on their side. He was noble and true and said to be the Perfect Knight, and he had many friends whom he stood back to back with and would die for. Then one day he slept with his best friend's wife, stabbing him in the back, which subsequently lead to the fall of the glorious kingdom he served and the death of his King. The End.

Name: Landon Marcus . He goes by Mark.

Occupation: Football staaaaaar! Technically he's still a college student at USC, but football is like his life, man.
Personality: Mark calls himself confident; other people call him arrogant. He's very much a typical jock and likes to solve things with muscles instead of brains (this doesn't mean violence, necessarily; it means he challenges people to arm-wrestling matches instead of trying to debate them with words). He likes staying out late and hanging with his teammates, but he's never late to practice, even if he has to fight a raging hangover to get there. He's rarely late anywhere, and actually rather dependable with things that matter to him. He's a closet romantic with an old-fashioned way of doing things; he'll woo women with flowers and poetry when no one's looking, and can play up the sensitive card if need be. Sometimes, when he's hanging out with his buddies or trying to pick up women at bars, he comes off as something of a jackass (but some women find that hot, so he doesn't worry about it too much.) Most of the time though, he's straight-up honest with people and what he wants. He's never liked lying; he couldn't even lie to his mother when she would ask him, "Have you brushed your teeth tonight?"
He's fiercely loyal to his friends. He doesn't mind joking around and has a fairly laid-back sense of humor, but insult him or his friends in his hearing and he takes that as a direct challenge. He doesn't back down from direct challenges, and he PREFERS TO WIN THEM, so he won't back down till he has a satisfactory sense of victory. Or the other person had gone away. Whichever comes first.
Also fiercely competitive, Mark has always fought with his siblings to be the shining son; being the youngest, he had quite a lot to out-do from his older siblings. He wants to make his father proud which is one of the reasons he's so dead-set on becoming an NFL star. He has to be the best at whatever he does and does not like people trying to out-shine him. He does not handle losing well.
History: As the youngest sibling of two older brothers and one older sister, Mark has always strove to shine. His family is fairly comfortable, money-wise; Mark has never wanted for anything, and even had his own car in high school. This is also how they were able to afford sending him out of state for college.
When he began pursuing sports in middle school, he found he excelled at them; baseball, soccer, wrestling-- he enrolled in whatever seasonal sport was offered at the time, and since he preferred to win, he quickly became a popular name around the athletic department. When he started high school, he decided to try out for football as a freshman and-- well, that was it. He made Varsity Quarterback in his sophomore year and was a star player during his junior and senior years. Also, when he started getting more involved in sports, he quickly became the apple of his father's eye-- a hard thing to do in a family with so many kids, which encouraged him to try even harder at what his father approved of. Mark has always liked to shine and loves being the center of attention; in high school, he hammed up every ounce of popularity he could, dating all the hottest girls in school and going to parties. His grades suffered, so he rarely pulled more than a C average, but as long as he had a high enough GPA to keep playing on the team he didn't really care.
During his senior year, he began his longest running relationship with a hot Junior girl one year beneath him. They were pretty serious and went steady the entire year, until he graduated, and they had to break up because he was moving halfway across the country for a college football scholarship. He hasn't really talked to her since, but he's sure she bears no ill feelings for him leaving to follow his dreams. He does think about her occasionally but doesn't feel right calling on her out of the blue.
Having always been into sports, Mark pursued a football scholarship to USC (University of Southern California) which is in LA, after graduating High School. USC is well known for its athletic achievements and is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I-A and the Pacific Ten Conference (Pac-10), which is a pretty big deal for college football. He's currently finishing his last year of college, hoping to get drafted into the NFL after he graduates there. If not... well, actually he has no Plan B, so the NFL it must be (because he said so).
He's had plenty of ... adventures... in college with various partners, but nothing with any sense of longevity. He very much likes partying and rough-housing and anything that gives him a bit of a thrill. Like in high school, his GPA suffers due to his rank of priorities, but unlike high school he doesn't fly by so easily. He's usually a hairs-breath away from academic probation, and at least once a year the coach has to pull him into the office to yell at him about keeping his grades up so he can keep playing. He's had people offer to do his homework for him, but he actually has a strange sense of morals and refuses to play things that way. When need be, he buckles down and gets his academic shit in order, enough so that he can then goof off for a few months before having to buckle down and worry about it again.
Aware/Unaware: Reincarnated Arthurian knights? The frick you been smoking man?
Alignment: He will totally be on the side of RIGHT and JUSTICE and HONOR and all that. ...Eventually. You know, when he grows up.
Powers: He can pick up swordplay pretty quickly, which is quite a feat considering he... has never touched a sword in his life. Yeah. He's also particularly skilled in duels and fighting matches, although all he knows of this skill is that he's never been beaten in a wrestling match.

Physical Description: Mark is tall, about 6'2", with an athletic, muscular build coming from years of football practice. He looks like a fairly solid guy, but he's definitely not a linebacker. He's got semi-long, curly brown hair, and a handsome, friendly face.
