I don't know about the communities you want to talk in... Communities used to be listed on the user info page....
But I wanted to say... you aren't the first... two of my friends - both pretty normal upstanding not odd or crazy people - have found out at the same stage as you...
One has a thyroid condition which made it hard to know... the other just didn't have a regular enough cycle / pay enough attention to be sure... suspected so got a positive on a stick... went for a dating scan and bingo! 20 weeks! would you like to know the sex?!!!
So you aren't alone, or even necessarily that odd... Both have gone on to have normal healthy kidlets, one of whom turned 8 recently (and is a very bright little bean) the other is just new and too soon to know if it's a gremlin or grumpster, but seems perfectly normal.
Seeing a doctor will help you know more. Express your concerns to your OB, and make it clear you want to do the best you possibly can for the baby. If I were in your shoes, I'd see a doc before telling family and friends. That way, you're as informed as you can be and more at ease when you talk to them.
Since you're concerned about the baby, I wouldn't judge your habits before you knew. I bet the people in your life who love you will understand.
Don't stress too much about what you did before you knew you were pregnant. Definitely bring it up with the OB, but really, you're baby is likely doing just fine.
Check in with your doctor, but it would be unfair to judge you for what you didn't know. I know someone who took speed before she knew she was pregnant (same deal; irregular cycle, wasn't trying to get pregnant): her baby is fine. Anecdotes don't tell you anything though, so do let your doctor know though. Having given up now is a good thing, though: you have half your pregnancy to do your very best!
Good luck! I hope everything is as boring as can be for the next few months. :)
