Vitamin B6 worked for me when I had morning sickness. My OB recommended it.

I will bring that up at my first prenatal visit. Right now, my prenatal vitamin is one of my nausea triggers (joy), so I'm kind of afraid of adding anything else.

It worked like a charm. My insurance wouldn't cover a prescription anti-nausea med that my OB prescribed and it was like $200 out of pocket, so my OB told me to try B6 as a cheaper alternative and it did the trick.

You have my sympathies :( :( I have found different things worked differently for both my pregnancies. .. (which is so annoying! I want a one cure for all! ;) ) If smells really bother you while you cook, you might try a little bit of peppermint oil under the nose. I also found peppermint candy to be helpful in my first pregnancy. If you can't stand the smell of peppermint, maybe something different?? As for food for you ... keep trying different things ... For my first (i had it really bad all 9 months) I lived on french fries and potato chips. For some reason, it always calmed my stomach and was the one thing I could keep down ... and iced tea. I couldn't keep plain water down ... so Iced tea and vitamin water kept me hydrated. (I tended to get more nauseous if I wasn't hydrated .. and I also could never have a empty stomach...that made it worse) Greek yogurt (if you can have dairy) has a lot of protein .. and if you can stomach it, adding flax seed adds even more protein. (I couldn't do that in my second pregnancy ( ... )

Mint (peppermint or spearmint) have been a great resource for calming my churning stomach so far, I'll definitely try the peppermint oil under the nose ( ... )

for my second pregnancy I had the all day nausea you're describing. It started up at about eight weeks and went until just after Easter 2012. The only things I was able to stand that helped (and I tried everything) was Coke and Crystal Light Pink Lemonade. Also, Cheezit White Cheddar crackers. It was awful.

It's easing up a little, as long as I avoid everything that makes me nauseous, but sometimes things strike out of the blue. Mostly, it's settled into being 'evening' sickness. Which I can handle better by being miserable ont he couch and going to bed early, lol.
