Good news: They accepted our offer! We are now in esgrow and waiting to close on Grandma's House! :-D I'm thrilled. The owner's family will also be offering us an *additional* $2,000 to go toward closing. This is because ( Read more... )

hahaha, you're so right... the shower thing DOES have a whore-house-feel to it... I didn't even think about that. :-P

Yeah, the trees are right in the middle of the yards, so they're definitely on the property. :-D

Yay!!!!!!! Yes, the house needs a bit of work, but nothing major at least! Glad you can see the potential :) And it is sad you can't move in right away (i'm sure you'll go a bit nuts...), but getting $2,000 off is nice!! And it gives you more time to plan for remodling :)

And i've never seen a shower like that either....very odd!

But those pictures kinda remind me of my in-laws house! Like that hanging light in the living room, they have lights like that in their bathrooms, and the floor in the kitchen is also in their bathrooms (kinda) except it's yellow/green. And their downstairs carpet is the orange shag...YUCK!

I've been trying to get them to remodel stuff since we were dating, but it's no use! (they say they don't have the money, yet they go to disneyland/world at least 3 times a year!)

But good luck with everything! Yay for being home owners right?

Well, remodeling the kitchen is pretty big (at least 10 grand), but we're not doing that right away, and like I mentioned, we were going to remodel the kitchen in the short-sale house anyways... so even though the job itself is a big deal and expensive, we had already planned on doing it. So, not much of an issue. It would have been nice though if we didn't have to remodel a kitchen at all... buuuuut... oh well. :-P ( ... )
