I was cleaning out a closet in the basement, and I stumbled upon my Star Trek notebooks from (gulp!) 1974. (I was 17.) In them, I have:
- the program from the 1974 ST Con at the Commodore Hotel in New York,
- a Star Trek Trivia Quiz I wrote,
- an essay I wrote, "Vulcan: The Planet and the People,"
- a fandom vocabulary,
- a listing of Star Trek fanzines, along

I can't say I've experienced the same, since I'm so much younger, but I did find some truly horrific (yet at the same time, beautifully enthusiastic) fanfic I wrote when I was about 12. About Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yeah. I never finished. And just as well. I doubt I'd want anyone to read that. OMG.
But in general I'm anal about keeping everything I've ever jotted down anywhere, so I have notebooks, folders, loose pages of random paper I happened to write/doodle on from... oh gosh, all my life, I suspect. Makes for interesting reading every time I have to clear out the basement. ;o)
