Tutorial #3

I have another tutorial for you!
It's a bit confusing and fiddley and complicated but I made it anyway!

Enjoy!

Also made with this tutorial:

Step 1. Prep your base. Be careful not to over-sharpen.

Step 2. Duplicate you base 3 times. Set the first 2 to Soft Light and the third to Screen (I used 78%).

Step 3. Make a Selective Color layer with these settings:

R: -100, -63, +100, +100

Step 4. Create another Selective Color layer with these settings:

R: -33, 0, +20, +18

C: +100, -56, -100, +100

B: +100, 0, -100, 0

N: -31, -5, +2, 0

Step 5. Flood fill a new layer with #FF5555 and set to Soft Light 39%.

Step 6. Flood fill another layer with #42FFFD set to Soft Light 56%.

Step 7. Create a Curves layer with these settings:

Red:

Point 1- Input: 51 Output: 56

Point 2- Input: 119 Output: 143

Green:

Point 1- Input: 55 Output: 66

Point 2- Input: 202 Output: 203

Blue:

Point 1- Input: 59 Output: 64

Point 2- Input: 175 Output: 168

Step 8. Create another adjustment layer, this time Levels:

RGB: 39, 1.05, 255

Step 9. Time for another fill layer, this time with #A5B98B on Soft Light 38%.

Step 10. Now this is where it gets a little complicated. Create a new Set (the little folder on the bottom of the Layers Palette).

In this Set repeat Steps 1 & 2 (the easiest way to do this is to duplicate the layers and drag them into the Set)

Step 11. Duplicate your first Selective Color layer (the one we made in Step 3.) and drag it into the Set between you second Soft Light layer and the Screen layer.

Step 12. Make another Selective Color layer (in the Set) under the Screen layer. Use these settings:

N: +100, 0, -19, 0

Step 13. Repeat steps 4-9 in between the Selective Color layer from Step 12  and the Screen layer in the Set.

Step 14. In the Set, above the Screen layer, create a layer filled with #1B0400 and set it to Exclusion 100%.

Step 15. Create another fill layer with #FFD585 on Multiply 37%.

Step 16. Duplicate the Exclusion layer and drag it above the Multiply one.

Step 17. FINALLY we’re done with this Set! Click the little down arrow to make the Set all small in the Layers Palette and set the Set to Color.

Step 18. Last but not least, duplicate the entire Set (Right-click > Duplicate Layer Set…) and set the duplicate to Hard Light 55%.

I’m so sorry that was so long and fiddley.  There’s probably a way to do it that’s a million-ty times easier! Anyway, play around and, as usual, show me what you get!
