We were awaiting our photos and fprints to be cleared when Mr Tumble came on the tele and taught me BSL.... now if I ever need to say hello to Big Teddy, Little Teddy, or Dolly as we order cauliflower and a gigantic carrot together I'm all set ( Read more... )

You always lead with your dominant hand, so if you are a leftie, lead with the left. Just so long as you always lead with the same hand or it gets rather confusing to read.

It matters not. Sign the way it feels right to you. I've known interpreters who write right handed and sign with their left hand dominant. If it feels clumsy using your right, switch to your left. It helps to picture the sign being done in front of you with the signer's back to you. Then you can see the "internal" way to do the movement.
