Wow it's funny how luck works sometimes. I think I know a million near-miss deer stories. Sometimes it's best not to think what could have been if things had gone differently.

My mom hit a deer which rolled onto the hood and then off of it (on the drivers side) at which point its head came into the car and she leaned way to the right to avoid being impaled by its huge rack of antlers.

About a month later another tried to jump over her car and kicked in the window I had been sitting next to not 10 minutes earlier. Shredded the newspaper on the floor where my feet were. That could have been my face.

it happened so fast, i couldn't even tell where those antlers went, just that he hit much closer to me than i'd thought. if his head were a little higher, he might have gone right into the jeep.

oh well. at least i drove away.

When I first started to read the post before I could READ it I thought that another CAR had hit you, but fuck... deer can caue some serious damage... fuckin-a...

Glad to hear that you didn't get hurt by it.
Yay for going 80mph as opposed to 55mph.... this is one of those situations where Richie'd neener at me and say "I told you so!"... x_x

it was a big goddamned deer. i may go out and see if i can find it today. at that size, someone probably field dressed him and took him home for dinner.
