I usually wait until a story is finished to comment (so I can comment on it as a whole) but I wanted to point out the brilliance of this statement:

Penny and Sheldon had done things together, bonded over them on levels Leonard had never touched on. More so, he had never even tried.

And that was almost worst of all.

It really brings to light how blinded by lust Leonard is- he never got to know her as a person, but rather as a potential girlfriend, and that causes problems. Fantastic insight into all of them so far, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the story!
