Advice?
So we got back from Firefly late last night and this afternoon, B found a tick on me (despite having showered in the interim, which we both find confusing).
It would have been on me for a maximum of 28 hours (the last tick check we'd done), but probably a fair bit less.
B took it off skillfully and it was still alive when it came out, and not beheaded.
It didn't look at all engorged, and didn't have noticeable blood in it when B squished it.
As best we can tell, it looks more like the photos of dog ticks on the internet than like deer ticks (we can see some white markings). But it's pretty hard to tell with certainty (see re squishing, earlier)
We circled the bite with marker, and it looks fine so far.
So... should I be doing something else? Should I be trying to get preventative antibiotics or anything?
