I have racist and sexist thoughts in my head all the time. I feel like the messages we receive in society just bludgeon us with these ideas and, for me, it's impossible to shake the reflex of having these thoughts. I have to be ever vigilant, though, to keep these thoughts out of my speech and out of my actions. I can't control how I'm programmed, but I do my best to control what I put back out into the world.

I found some costumes in the T@F costume inventory that I thought might possibly be useful to you. Someone has given us space uniforms for a large and small adult and a child and for at least three different aliens. If you're interested in any of these for Tribbles, feel free to come scrounge around in my basement.

I added a new "want to try" tea to my Pinterest Tea Cabinet (http://www.pinterest.com/ayelle3/tea-cabinet/) -- Chai Spice Cascarilla. It has Taza chocolate in it, so it's a double dose of local. Do you like chais? Chocolate chais?

Also, I use it for this profile pic because it's pretty, but I don't really like blooming teas.

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or one thousand duck-sized horses? Discuss.

I think a horse-sized duck would be substantially weaker than a horse - the bone structure isn't going to be able to handle the kind of load a full-sized horse-worth of duck would put on it, so it would be slow and awkward. Also, that neck has *got* to be pretty easy to snap or else just strangle or garrote.

One THOUSAND? Wasn't it one HUNDRED?

What have you long wished that you knew (skill, knowledge, capability, interpret it broadly) that is something you could realistically learn, but you haven't?
