iPod smarties, halp!

I've got a 120gb Classic, iTunes 8, and when ever I want to pull the iPod off it's USB cable I get told on clicking Eject in iTunes that something else is trying to deal with files on the iPod and I cannot eject at this time

Possibly, if you have Disk Mode enabled in the settings, you have to eject the disk from the desktop in Windows. I have no experience with using an iPod in Windows but this is true on OSX at least.
