so here we go again.... new job.... same predicament as the old one.... ask her out or not.... I've had so much rejection in the past I don't wanna... plus there's that whole thing that happened at my last job.... don't want that to happen again

Go for it, Vunderkind! I know, I know, easier said than done, but, hell, I like you, and I'm picky. :-P Okay, I'm not thinking of candlelit dinners or anything, but you know what I mean. Dammit, you're good enough, you're smart enough, and IJO folks like you. There's a good chance she will to. And if not, there's an even BETTER chance that she won't try to kill you just for asking. :-P
