Wow... Hope the water damage isn't too bad once everything dries out. And they actually said on the national news that people had to watch out for gators swimming through the flood water. *shudder*
We managed to keep the water from getting into my grandmother's house, though it was a very near thing (about 1/2"). The neighbor isn't so lucky. My dad's boss also has a foot of standing water in his house... and fish swimming in his kitchen. :(
I've yet to see an alligator, but I've seen water snakes and the like. I got bit by a spider yesterday while trying to clean up some downed tree branches, so that was fun.
It was a LOT of water! A few of my friends from the mainland have posted their pictures and it's possibly even more crazy over there, with lots of cars covered completely over with water.
Thanks! Yeah, it's stationary a bit north of us. We've had on-and-off rain today and yesterday, but it's not NEARLY as bad as it was. It just... poured. And kept pouring. For almost three days.

And now the damned storm is COMING BACK? Do your best to keep above water, don't get eaten by gators, and lemme know if you guys need MREs. Seriously.

It's kinda stalled out again up north (over Amie and Jesse, I think) and they really can't figure out where it's going to go next.
