Same Sex Marriage Legalized in Vermont
Same Sex Marriage is legal in Vermont! WHOOT! That is state number 4, thank you very much. Ben & Jerry's is changing "Chubby Hubby" to "Hubby Hubby" for a month, but only symbolically, the labels won't change, which sucks, but they will be serving up Hubby Hubby Sundaes in their Vermont store.

ACME vs. Local 1776 UFCW- Contract Negotiations, Chapter 3
There is a letter from Wendell Young to Dan Dosenbach on the union website, as well as photos of Acme employees and union members at the Spectrum. ACME vs. Local 1776 UFCW-Contract Negotiations, Chapter 2
Our union meeting at the Spectrum was long, but at the end of the night 95% of us voted to reject ACME's contract proposal. ACME is playing hardball and we are willing to bat.

Local 1776 ACME Workers vote
Tomorrow at 6pm we vote whether or not to ratify ACME's "last, best offer". I've been reading articles on the contract and the tension. Tension is high. I can feel it when I'm at work. If we vote against the offer then it may come to the S word....strike! While I know what I am voting for, I am sure there will be people voting for the offer ( Read more... ) -

ACME vs. Local 1776- Contract Negotiations
ACME sent us all a letter about contract negotiations. Our union has until July 10th to ratify ACME's last offer, if they don't then ACME will implement it anyway. Um, hm..
