[She'd seen the other messages, but had taken a brief moment to scan entries for information on her way down to the Bazaar. When she saw Moon's writing cut off and the blood appear, her heart stopped.
When she arrived, the Bazaar was a scene of carnage. People were already coming out to help those injured, and everything seemed to be over. It only took her a moment before she turned and headed to the farm; there were plenty of people who could help with this, but considerably fewer that could help Apple.
She followed his spiritual energy to where he stood outside, bawling, several people trying to comfort him to no avail. Shit--he'd seen the entry, then. She curtly pushed them aside, pulling Apple into her arms.]
Hey. I'm here, okay?
[She'd leave him with Amurui once he calmed down a bit, then go back to the Bazaar to assist. She'd lost too many people recently not to be selfish about those left.]
[The other farmers were trying the best they could, but poor Apple was in shock. At least by the time Bastet arrived he wasn't mindlessly screaming like he had when he first saw Moon's writing cut off. His horrified yells had brought several people, including the Farm supervisor, but nobody could get him to stop crying

[She vaguely noticed the others drifting away to give them some privacy, and she let Apple sob out his initial fear and tension. His little arms were like bands around her waist and her shoulder was quickly soaking with his tears. She took a while to speak, rubbing a soothing hand over his back.]
Hush, now. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere.
[She couldn't promise him that everything was okay. She couldn't tell him Moon was all right. All she could do is remind him and reassure him that she was here. Everything else would have to be dealt with, but at least he wouldn't be doing it alone.]
