His world was stained red, the color of blood.
"Blood's not the only thing that's red in this world."
Moon closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, he was riding in a car in the front passenger seat. He could hear muffled voices behind him and to his right, but he couldn't make out what they were saying.
"You can't change anything by dying. If you want things to change, you're going to have to live."
Now, the vehicle had changed to a park bench. Fireworks went off behind a backlit castle, and two children rested against him. Apple and Meatbun. Reaching a hand down absently, he let it lay on Meatbun's head.
"Forget it. I can't win against your powers of annoyance."
Eyepatch was sitting next to him on the bench, smoking and staring at the fireworks. Behind them, Bastet leaned against the back of the bench. They all watched in silence.
With the sound of a gunshot, Moon woke up.
[Moon is forgetting all the names of his canonmates that he's learned so far, and he's also forgetting anything that happened the day of the Bazaar shooting.]
