1. I enjoy every single one of your song choices, and any mix with short skirt/long jacket is automatically fantastic in my book.
2. (Which one, you ask? ...*mumbles* stilltheonebyshaniatwain. In my defense, I was nine.) MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD. Especially since I know exactly the song you are talking about and honestly I probably associated with all of my ships back in the 90s as well.

I just watched A New Hope for the first time yesterday and am therefore unqualified to comment on the appropriateness of this mix for the pairing (I know, look, I'm watching it now, okay?) but I really really love the sound of this mix.

always nice to see one of the classics!!! Now I want to re-listen to the Batman Forever soundtrack and all the Iron and Wine songs that don't give me Twilight flashbacks.
I must protest though... Leia isn't holding out for a hero - she IS the hero! Leia may very well be the prototype of the self-rescuing princess! (still a good song, though. And you picked one of the best versions)

Oh, wow, Leia/Han was one of my first ships, too! I never thought about Short Skirt/Long Jacket, but I smiled the whole way through it because it really does seem to fit Leia's personality so well!
