» Gender: Male
» Age: Unknown. Presumably 14-16. Played as 16, aged up to 18
» Orientation:
For the most part, Rolo exhibits absolutely zero interest in sex or romance. So, simply put, he is asexual.
However, considering the nature of Amat, sex becomes a subject of life or death. Rolo has no interest in dying. He blatantly says as much in episode four when it seems as if he'll be shot by an oncoming missile. How this firm desire to live applies to sex in the context of Amat can be explained largely by Rolo's background.
Rolo Lamperouge embodies the trope of
When All You Have is a Hammer, meaning that his entire life, he's been ingrained to believe that no matter what, a mission must be accomplished. Should there be an obstacle or someone in the way, the answer for Rolo has always been to remove the obstacle. Or kill the person. Applying this to staying alive and having to have sex to do so means that Rolo would essentially do whatever is necessary to ensure he wouldn't choke. Would this mean he would have sex with someone he barely knows? Quite possibly. However, this would be only after he'd found a method he'd be more comfortable with. Rolo does not much like physical touch from people he does not trust, so he'd seek out someone he trusts first. If that were unavailable, he'd resort to something like a brothel.
Of course, should one certain person be there, Rolo would probably seek out them first. This person is the only person to show true kindness to Rolo in the younger teen's entire lifetime. Before he met Lelouch Lamperouge, Rolo was never loved or cared for. However, while Lelouch's memories were sealed, Lelouch demonstrated unconditional love for Rolo, something that Rolo eventually clung to. This devotion to Lelouch is so strong that Rolo seeks to become the only person that Lelouch relies on. In the series, this leads to two crucial moments: The first being Rolo's murder of Shirley Fennett when the girl suggests reuniting Lelouch with his true sibling. The second is Rolo's self-sacrifice in order to save Lelouch's life.
Accompanied by this devotion is Rolo's
apparent enjoyment of
breaching Lelouch's personal space. While with other people, Rolo seems to greatly dislike physical touch (as displayed by his open flinching when being practically glomped by Milly Ashford and then his obvious motion to step away from her once released), but with Lelouch he has no issues with it. This, coupled with his devotion to Lelouch, suggests that he would seek help from Lelouch before anything else. However, should that route not be open to him, Rolo would try to find some, or any other method in order to avoid death.
tl;dr: Rolo is asexual expect for Lelouch.
» Personality:
For the most part, Rolo seems like a shy, reserved young man who has difficulties making friends. He tends to have a blunt and brief manner of speaking, sometimes only responding in short sentences. When he is uncomfortable, he becomes easily flustered and reacts without thinking. But this personality is created by and also used to cover up for what he truly is. As a child assassin, Rolo is apathetic, cold, and disinterested in anything save his missions. In his mind, what is most important is completing said missions and even goes so far as to kill his fellow teammates when he feels they're in the way or possibly have learned something they should not have. He is ruthless and feels that any methods to achieve the end of his missions are the best, and "most efficient." When Rolo switches sides to join Lelouch's cause, this only changes somewhat in the sense that his drive to complete missions changes to a drive to assist and protect Lelouch. This shows in how he has no qualms with killing anyone in the way of Lelouch's plans or anyone that might come between him and Lelouch.
Despite this dangerous side of his personality, Rolo is extremely devoted to his false brother, Lelouch. The time that Rolo spent with Lelouch allowed Rolo a time of normalcy and happiness that he had never before known. Because of this, Rolo tends to show a softer, more gentle side only around Lelouch. Lelouch's affection becomes something Rolo craves, having been devoid of such attention his entire life. This is accentuated when Lelouch celebrates Rolo's "birthday", the first birthday Rolo had ever experienced, where he receives a heart-shaped locket from his brother. The locket becomes a symbol of his devotion and obsession with Lelouch so much that Rolo even kills a fellow member of his OSI team just for simply touching it. Rolo even reacts in fear to suggestions of his ties to Lelouch being taken away, such as when Lelouch offers to exchange the locket for something "more suitable for a boy."
Because of his strong devotion and love for Lelouch, it's easy for Lelouch to manipulate Rolo into believing he is cared for. Once Lelouch has Rolo under his wing, Rolo does anything and everything to protect Lelouch, their relationship, and their secrets. He follows almost every order Lelouch gives him. In fact, this drive becomes obsessive for Rolo and it shows when he kills Shirley in an attempt to silence her when she reveals her once sealed memories had been restored and then mentions wanting to reunite Lelouch and Nunnally. Rolo even sets out to kill Lelouch's true sibling, Nunnally, as well though he is prevented when she is seemingly killed by Suzaku's use of FLEIJA (a nuclear weapon) on the city of Tokyo.
Eventually, Rolo comes to understand that Lelouch is using him, but regardless of Lelouch's motivations and true feelings for Rolo, the young assassin continues to work for his brother and eventually sacrifices his own life in order to save Lelouch. He does this, claiming it to be his own choice, something that he had never been able to make when he was a tool for everyone around him, even Lelouch.
It should also be noted that though Rolo is highly skilled in the area of assassinations, Rolo doesn't tell anyone this (save, maybe, Lelouch). He pretends to be a normal young man, and his apathetic inner personality comes through as someone who is just shy and quiet. Rolo also knows this and sometimes takes advantage of it. But generally speaking, his quiet nature keeps others from suspecting his true motives or nature. The only indication that something about him might be off is that he seems to know more than he lets on.
» Appearance:
One of the primary reasons Rolo was chosen to infiltrate Lelouch's life was because Rolo looks very similar to Lelouch's original sibling, Nunnally. With soft brown hair, a slight frame (115lbs), and petite stature (5'5" which is kinda short for CG-world), Rolo looks frail and very young. His eyes are large and a color of violet similar, if lighter than Lelouch's, though they are
frequently narrowed in annoyance or cynicism. But the striking part of Rolo's appearance is just how similar he looks to Nunnally. According to Rolo's
Wikipedia Page, during the planning stages of Code Geass, Rolo was originally intended to be a half-brother to Lelouch and his physical appearance is designed to be 'a cross between Lelouch and Nunnally'.
Rolo's sense of fashion, however, is lacking. He often relies on Lelouch to know what would best suit him or simply resorts to wearing his uniform. Any other time, Rolo is often dressed in clothing that allows him to move freely and has plenty of pockets and hiding places for his possessions and weapons. He also prefers shorts to pants to fit into the shota stereotype.
Aged up, Rolo would not change much in appearance. He might be a bit taller and a bit more lanky. His eyes might be a bit more narrowed, but his posture and stature would not change much, still giving him the appearance of someone deceptively young.
» Suitability:
Despite his seemingly young age, Rolo is very mature. He handles things such as death, murder, and much more with the presence of a battle-hardened soldier. Growing up as a tool for the Geass Directorate, Rolo had to learn to be an adult from a young age, never understanding what it's like to be a normal child. So in some ways, he can be childish, but only in the sense that he is naive to what is expected for a boy his age. Other than that, he is extremely mature and already has some basic knowledge of humany anatomy and how humans reproduce.

Notes: I don't know where I'm at. The last thing I remember is seeing that flash of light and the message of something called Fleya through the radio. Where is Brother? Have I died? Perhaps this is an afterlife. If this is the case, what will be next?
And then later, I must find a method for removal of this collar. What purpose does it serve? If this isn't an afterlife, am I being held captive?
I need to find more information. My Geass does not appear to be functioning either, which is bad. Perhaps something is preventing it? But what?
I can't let it be known my affiliation with Zero or the Black Knights. Maybe if I seek aid as a Britannian student? Yes, this seems like the best method. This device seems capable of communication and broadcasting.

With a gasp, Rolo Lamperouge awoke. He flung himself up to a seating position, immediately groping for the knife he usually kept under his pillow. However, for the first time in as long as he could remember, it wasn't there. The thought fled from his mind, though, as he began to recall the vivid images of his dream. It had been that, right? A dream? Images he wasn't sure he wanted to analyze flashed through his vision and Rolo was loath to see them again. His heart was beating wildly, a sign he needed to calm down. And that became the first thing he did.
He took a deep breath, willing his heart to return to is regular if unsteady pace. As it did, he began to go through a mental stock of everything he knew and needed. First question: Location. Second question: Status. Taking another deep breath, Rolo began to look himself over. Not only had the images of his dream been startling, but he was naked.
...Naked. Violet eyes widened in further shock. How had he become unclothed? The urge to panic began to take Rolo and instinctual he his grip on the bedsheets tightened. This wouldn't do at all, he told himself. Panicking would help him in no way. Think. Think...
Biting down on his lower lip, Rolo pushed himself out of the bed and winced as he felt the awkward mess in his lap. He was aware of anatomy. He knew how the body worked. Thus it didn't take him long to deduce what the cause was from. The dreams, coupled with his state of undress... Rolo was disgusted, his features distorting in both anger and disbelief that this could've happened to him.
"Weak..." he mumbled to himself, dropping the bedsheets. He didn't have any time to dwell on what the details of what had happened anyway. Clothes, shoes, a weapon, and a way back to his Brother were the things he began to focus on. The trained assassin in him began to take in the room, noting details, placement of objects, the device on a nearby table, and even the pile of what appeared to be his clothes. At least one thing would be scratched off his list, the clothes quickly finding their way into his hands as he went through the pockets. A sigh of relief escaped him when among the folds of the clothing he found the one object he treasured above all else.
Two things down. Next would be getting himself cleaned. Again, his eyes swept the room as he tried to find something he could use. If anything, there was the sheets (a shudder swept through Rolo as he recalled what could've occurred there) that he could use. But there were also two doors in the room. One, undoubtedly, led to whatever was outside the room. Using deduction, Rolo assumed the second was either a closet, or better yet. Holding his clothing to his chest, he hurried to the second door and opened it. His deduction had been right; another sigh of relief escaped him.
A few minutes later, with wet hair and a firmer resolve, Rolo felt more comfortable. More and more, he pushed aside the thoughts that kept threatening to come to mind as he passed the bed. The next step he needed to take was to examine the device left on the table. It had appeared to be something for communication. A handheld computer, of sorts. Turning it on and skimming through menus with the practiced ease of one accustomed to hacking into networks, Rolo began to create his own short list of information and notes. With the discovery of the network that the communicator was connected to, Rolo was able to research more information.
He knew, now, what he needed to do. Taking yet another deep breath, Rolo frowned and lifted the device to his mouth in order to speak into it. The answer was obvious to him. For now... this would be the best method.
