So, I am currently working with the type collection of our herbarium (the "type" specimens are plants that were used to describe a new species, so they are the most valuable items in an herbarium collection) and came across a certain plant whose specific name was totally unknown - it was absent from all major data banks and herbaria catalogs ( Read more... ) -
