Of course, we did. Heath Ledger's finest performance. His Joker makes Jack's Joker look like merely a social degenerate. Heath's Joker is without remorse playing everyone against themselves with his very fucked up mind games. He kills anyone, everyone. The paint is just that paint. He uses it to throw people off balance. He has no origin, no identity. He is the epitome of the comic book/animated series Joker but taken to a level they could never get away with. A beautifully fucked up lunatic with a sense of humor. The way Heath played him you could picture this man killing one of the Robins with a crowbar or showing up on Commissioner Gordon's doorstep and crippling Batgirl with one shot to the spine.
