Sister Antonia was actually on her way to check on Dessa. Lucy said that she was ill, and since Dessa was so new to the school...well, it wasn't comfortable to be sick and alone in a strange place.

She saw a flash of red hair and she looked up, startled out of her thoughts. "Dessa Ruth?"

"Shit," she mutters under her breath, looking innocent as can be. "Hi, Sister," she says. "I felt better and was gonna go to mass but got kind of turned around."

And...she was talking to the nun-ish lie detector! Sister Antonia had been working at her job way to long to be fooled by profanity and an innocent look. "Then I should escort you."
