I wouldn´t say it is unpopular. Frankly, I would say that it´s a sign that you´re growing up/becoming more mature. Pretty Cure has become a show for children aged 3-5, 8 at best. While I don´t think it is bad that people keep liking it after they get older, it should´t be surprising when a 13+ start disliking it.

Where the hell are you when you talk about Pretty Cure? I try to visit the precure community regularly, and I never get the impression that they are being unfair or trollish there. And I remind you, I criticize Smile and Pretty Cure whenever I get the chance.
