re: lack of participation / secret santaspiltcoffeeeNovember 11 2007, 19:58:01 UTC
it's not that i don't want to participate, i just don't have as much time as i used to. i know everyone has lives and work and such, but personally my free time is not as free as it used to be.
i will have more time after exams (in mid-december) and so if we do a secret santa, i'd love to do that! i don't really know how to work that, though, because (using myself as an example) if someone asked me to write them a doctor who or desperate housewives fic, i've never watched those shows and i don't have the DVDs at my disposal, so it would be hard (nearly impossible) to write :/ if we come up with something that fixes that problem, i think it's a great/fun idea for everyone to get to know each other a bit better :)

I know how I'm going to work it. It's not like I'm going to make you write Dr Who when you don't watch it - I have it all planned out, sort of, and all I needed is a yes or a no. People will sign up, people will sign up for fics - and they'll be shared on Christmas Day (or around that time). That's the whole basic idea of it.
:). That will probably be Round Six. Something like that, really - the song round wasn't as popular as I had hoped.
With cliches, what do you mean? This sounds like a really interesting idea. :)
Same here, but the lack of drabbles is starting to make me wonder if anyone wants them. I kind of have a hard enough time looking for pictures for the Rounds.
I've got a basic idea for it, thanks. :) The info might be posted up later today - voting will be taking a while; there's a lot of coding and no textboxes to simply copy-and-paste from.
I don't really know what a fic exchange/secret santa involves and as such am not sure whether I would be able to participate or not. Maybe I should do some research into them too

There'll be a post up about it soon. I've just got to quickly look into them - I know what I want to do with them, though, and it's just a simple exchange. If you wanted a certain Heroes fic, you'd request it, and whoever can do it will sign up to write it for you. That's kind of the basic idea. But instead, you won't know who is writing your 'gift' - as it's a secret santa. (I've got to look up the way these work. I'm not 100% sure if this is correct

sorry for the late vote!aragonsNovember 12 2007, 21:28:42 UTC
Re:voting. Sorry mine was so late. I had all my feeback written up and everything and then I lost it and then I didn't have enough time. Again with sorries for that

Don't worry; you got yours in before I even tallied them up. The post was just to say that there is no need for any more votes. :)
I hate having an idea but not being able to express it. The drabbles are only there to entertain members during the rounds - it's just that they've kind of died down and I was wondering if people wanted them still or were fed up with them. I'll probably start doing them fortnightly; one drabble post for two weeks. It seems a little better, and possibly easier for people who wish to do them but aren't available until the next week :).
(Good luck with your exams! I just had mine a week ago. :p) The secret santa will probably start around this week or the next - I plan on getting up an information post, a signing up and requesting one sometime today or later in the week. (Voting has been put off as there's a lot of coding to do and no simple way of copying and pasting with the codes.) I know how it's going to work, all I was after was if anyone was interested. It's not like you're going to write in a fandom
