MOD POST: EVERYTHING.

Dec 04, 2007 09:03

Okay guys, I really need some help from you in order to be able to get Round Six up and the Secret Santa. There are a few things that have me concerned, and they're mentioned below as well. Could you please reply to most of this, because from previous posts, only a certain thing was commented on when I needed feedback for most of the things ( Read more... )

I was going to leave commenting on this tomorrow when I am more coherent but I don't want to forget! Apologies if this is a tad garbled !

I will gladly pimp this comm out to my friends list! I keep meaning to do it but I'm such a sporadic poster I kinda forget.

As for ideas, I would love to help you there but I have none at the moment. I've had an incredibally dry spell when it has come to inspiration (hence, my last two fics have sucks) and have had to literally force myself to write and then it has been to this communities prompts. I will try and think up some ideas though and let you know (I'm nursing mumps at the moment so this may take a week or so).

I Love the idea of a Secret Santa and would love to take part but whether I can write or not is a different matter entirely. I just can't seem to write right now and it is so damn frustrating. But I shall try and participate(although it maybe craptacular)if it does go ahead because I don't want to let anyone down ( ... )

Please don't think I'm ignoring you, I had to re-alert the comm because I'd missed the past five posts or so. Anyhoo, onto the main point

ROUND SIX & MEMBER PARTICIPATION:
Everytime I write a fic for the comm I always try and pimp it as much as possible. I'll try and push some other fandom friends into taking part for this round at least.
When it comes to ideas, I'm a little stumped. I loved the last round because I usually use lyrics to get me started. So maybe something similar, like a poem? I don't know, just a thought really.

SECRET SANTA:
I'm up for it, I am, I'm just wary that my Xmas break isn't long and I've got exams in January, much to my intense displeasure. But I think I can probably handle it.

WINNERS POST:
I think I commented, it was about the vote tally.box issue whether I'd done it or not. But in case you were wondering, very pleased about it all. If you so desire to make anything then go ahead but I'm aware you have limited time and it's not necessary. Just getting all the feeback is prize enough.

ROUND SIX & MEMBER PARTICIPATION: I think that we shouldn't have to make you work harder to invent new ideas to keep us involved when we should be involved in the first place, but maybe having a post up where people can link to where they advertised the comm, then maybe the person that had the most links and reccomendations or whatever could get something extra, like an extra week to turn in their next fic, or (like the lyrics challenge) they could choose a prompt from a previous round that works for them instead of just that round's prompt. That way, they could have something that's useful to them but not something you have to go out of your way to make up for them, like an award or whatever. The people would just link to each advertisement like "1, 2, 3 ..." and so on, and you would just count the number. Also, maybe something personal that effects the writers personally in terms of challenges? Have a list of shows, then have them write a short description of an experience they went through and have the characters in the show they ( ... )

VOTING: I think that making you work harder on something you're supposed to have fun with, on top of school going on holiday and time when you should be out having fun that a teen girlie has, is not fair to you. I think that doing whatever it is that makes it easier for you to get on, finish up mod-style stuff, and get back to fun is what is important. we love you and we want you safe, happy and comfy. I totally love the boxes idea. I feel like looking at my often long ass comments kinda gets messy and i've been trying to figure out a way to make the comments look neater [yes, i'm a little miss anal pants] forever. So, I think that the comment boxes make for neater, easier to work with feedback. That's what pretty-stickers is all about! Fun feedback! :D I also think that you're right, we need to be stricter about the whole leaving one thing open thing. I think that sometimes, when we've got all intense dramatic fics, it's hard to find something fluffy, but perhaps having a rule where your comment won't be added to the feedback if you ( ... )
