:) I wanted it to have this sort of mostly sad, somewhat good feeling; it's sad because Sam and Pete and Jack are all realizing who she really loves, and it sucks for Pete because he loves her :[. I'm glad it was somewhat understandable! There's so many things that make it hard to understand the show; it's almost a science fiction soap opera, seeing as the best way to understand it is to watch from the beginning. I'm glad you sympathized with Pete because I felt like he was the one who knew the most; he knew that he loved her but he also knew they loved one another.

I think if there was a show about Cuddy saving the world, it would rule. Because that is just such an awesome notion! :) Thanks for reading!

Ouch.

Alright, so, you know me. I don’t understand this show, haven’t seen it, and I keep thinking this Pete is the Pete from Smallville. Happy times, I say. :P First off, it’s really good to see you writing again. For a fandom I don’t know, you always manage to make me feel like I know these characters like the shows I sort-of-adore-but-kind-of-hate-at-times, and, with this, you bring forth sadness for Pete. I don’t know him, yet I feel like I do, and I feel sort of strongly towards Sam and Jack - and I’m taking sides here!

It's like a dull paper cut over and over every time he sees her laugh at something the other man says, and it's even deeper when he sees the look in Jack's eyes.I like this line, and it definitely shows how Pete’s not an oblivious add-on to the whole Jack and Sam equation ( ... )

Okay, so I've not watched SG-1 in a long time but this? Absolutely spot on with everything.

The first section with Pete being initially so so happy, and the feeling being squashed by merely seeing Sam and Jack together was great. I'd kind of fallen out of watching at the Pete introduction point but I think you've captured him really well, that he tries not to be jealous and he definitely tries not to show it. This line was just fantastic:
Even the dull ringing in his ears, the dulled words of the mantra, are rocks in a creek bed being run down by river of doubt, uncertainly and dawning realization.
The metaphor works beautifully here. Also, the last line of that section perfectly embodies the tangled relationship between the three of them.

So, your Jack section? = ♥. Seriously. You have him perfectly. That first line: Jack doesn't want to feel like he's better than Pete Shanahan but he can't help feeling like if he were in the other man's place, there would be things he would do better. was such a Jack thought. That he's not ( ... )
