I just finished watching the remake of 'Night of the Living Dead'. Mostly I liked it, but once again I prefer the original. I'm not quite certain why; I think it's mostly a mood thing. Yes, I'd heard that Romero plays a lot of cameos in his own movies. :)

I can see how, in its time, it would have been incredibly scary. Unfortunately, since I've seen so many movies that (I'm pretty sure) borrow heavily from Romero, it seems kind of like old hat to me. It's definitely one of those movies that I wish I'd watched when I was young enough to not be familiar with a lot of the concepts and borrowings.
