Ginger bread is definitely an important thing, certainly more than consumerism :)

I hope I never stop looking as well. I don't think I'd like my life very much if there wasn't any magic at all left in the world.

See you said it yourself, you still have faith that things will work out for the best one way or the other.

That his hope, it's a bit more realistic hope, but it is hope.

And you wouldn't be sticking around him, as a friend or otherwise, if you didn't think there was something worth sticking around for.

And I don't think anyone will be offended about the whole Christmas thing. Personally, I like what Christmas should stand for, I just don't like what it tends to do to people when they are out and about. A time that is suppose to represent joy turns people into completely assholes in public. Go figure

Thanks :)

I'm pleased that you're not offended. I thought making every bloody thing this year would make it better, but it hasn't. I've spent years losing my patience with Christmas. I'm with you that it's a lovely concept that has fallen by the wayside.

Okay, skipping over the main bulk of your post, because it's been well accounted for... tell me about this cheese casserole.. is it a noodle thing or potatos or something else entirely?

It's a noodle thing. Whole wheat noodles, homemade 3-cheese sauce, bread crumbs, onion, hot mustard seed... is very yummy (it's one of my favourite hour-or-less baked dishes). If it sounds remotely like something you'd like, I can send you the recipe (or, I suppose, give it to you at work). :)
