Not unusually, Denis is on a couch in the main room of the mansion. Surprisingly, he is sitting up and reading a book - A Brief History of France.

He does seem to be struggling a little though and would love to be disturbed.

Enter Jareth, who is intent on retrieving a few things from the plothole, but drifts from his task toward Denis upon seeing him.

"... Is it an engaging read?"

"There are too many big words," he says, mildly frustrated and biting his lip slightly before closing the book, looking up and seeing Jareth. He gives him a smile. "Bonjour, monsieur Jareth. How have you been?"

Jareth smiles a little at that. "I have been well, Denis, and you?"

"I have been all right, monsieur," he replies, moving over a little. "Would you like to sit down?"
