Bacon-wrapped Smokies

Recipe: Bacon-wrapped Smokies

Serves: 12 or so
Cook's Notes: We made these for Easter Brunch this year.



Ingredients
1 lb. bacon
1 lb. little smokies (with cheddar, if you can get them)
1 cup brown sugar (approx.)

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each strip around a little sausage and secure with a toothpick. Store in a bag in the fridge until ready to cook. An hour before serving, arrange on a baking sheet and sprinkle liberally with brown sugar.
3. Bake until bacon is crisp and the brown sugar melted, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
