Reasoning?: She's not beyond a little bit of cunning manipulation to get what she wants. And once she gets that power, she'll do every little thing to keep it. She's not afraid to disguise her manipulation either, and aspires to something far greater than she has at the moment.
Appearance: She has a rather small, round face with poutish lips and pronounced cheekbones. Her hair is rather long and dark, though she likes to keep it curled. She has dark brown eyes off-set by pale skin. And while she's not entirely too tall for her age, she hopes that she'll grow a few more inches before too long. (PB: Emily Meade)
Personality: Sugary-sweet to a painful (and frightful) degree. She talks with a soft, childish voice, though she speaks clearly and can certainly shout if she wanted to. She can't stand it when people need to be told something more than once, and can't pick up the clues as fast as she can give them. But it still takes a lot to make her snap, and even then she'll quickly recover her composure and plaster another honey smooth smile on to her face. She's not above delivering back-hand compliments or just plain insults with an innocent face and unimposing tone.
Extra: She loves cute things and cats. Especially cute cats. Pink is her favorite color ever, and most of her Muggle clothes are various shades of this. She also has a sever (and somewhat irrational) dislike for half-breeds. She feels they are far from intelligent, taking more after their animalistic (or humanoid in the case of giants) half. She's also not entirely fond of Muggle-borns or half-bloods. Even though she's very good at being heard and listened to, she's not rude enough to actually interrupt. She's developed (what she thinks) is a very polite way to indicate she wants to be listened to, which is a rather non-intrusive hem hem.

History: Born as the only child to Raban and Victoria Umbridge, Dolores was spoiled right from the get-go. Her father is not a very high-ranking official in the Ministry, but they are more than well-off from family funds; her mother, who is the one that claims relation to the Selwyn blood line, lives like a princess and taught her daughter to do the same. They had both attended Hogwarts, having graduated from Ravenclaw (Raban) and Slytherin (Victoria). So of course, they were quite proud when their little princess was sorted into the Slytherin House.
Dolores grew up speaking her mind and her wants, and hated when “no” was given as answer - which was quite a shock when it came to school and she realised that there were people that wouldn't listen to her and bend to her whims. So she decided that she would find a way to make them do what she wanted.
In her third year, she met Rita Skeeter. An unlikely friendship(?) was formed, and the two are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.
