So I came into town with my dad this morning at 7am because I thought I'd have to work. I don't have to work. What the hell? I never have a day off. Oh well, I'm not really complaining because now I can go get my hair cut. I've been meaning to for a month now, but like I said, no days off. I hope I don't go in there and decide to chop it all off.

My kitten, Monet, died today. Dad left the door open and she got out and my damn dogs got ahold of her. She didn't last long. She was just so limp in my hands and I didn't know what to do. She was still warm when I burried her. I haven't cried this hard in years. I was kind of surprised I even still could. Sometimes I feel so jaded, so disengaged I worry that I've detached from humanity. Like I've fallen out of sync with the world. Or maybe just out of sync with myself. Death I guess has that effect on you, jolting you back into reality with enough force to knock the air out of you. When it claims us we're completely defenseless. For all our victories we are still victims in the end. The great equalizer to humble the egotistic soul.

Oh Ami, I'm so sorry. I wish I could wrap you up in a great big hug, sadly the internets make that difficult. If you wanna talk you can always call. Though I'm afraid that anything I say will be completely inadequate.

my batteries phone has a bout four minutes of air time on it right now. I can barely even check my mesages. I just needed to vent to someone and you were the first one I thought of.

I know its a few days late but Merry Christmas anyway. I'm in Indiana right now bunking with my little sister and weathering the storm of my brothers. I hope your Holidays are as exciting as mine.
