i have to confess, i've never tried asking a girl out for a date for that purpose, but i can imagine it would end poorly.

i strongly recommend low pressure first date type things. it's hard to panic about how you feel about someone when you're bowling, or playing putt putt golf. it's immersive enough that even beautiful boys parking cars would be willing to play with a mostly unknown girl without too much apprehension.

I would highly recommend AGAINST ever asking a girl out for that purpose. Unless of course, she knew you were asking her out for that purpose in the first place and was alright with it. Which, I would imagine, would be a rare occurrence.

Also- visiting time?

eHarmony is a full-time job typical_girl October 11 2010, 16:27:59 UTC
eHarmony is a full time job. Very time-consuming. Save your answers in a word doc and recycle as much as possible.

I was just at an eHarmony wedding two weeks ago, so I guess that it's effective for some. I went on zero dates in 3 months, so not that effective for me (although it was bad timing, personally).

I have been on only a handful of first and second dates in the very few years I've been single. I usually save panic for the third date. Let me know if you need someone to commiserate with.

Good luck!

I'm new to the whole online dating thing in general. I tried OKCupid for awhile and boy was that a disaster, nothing but "gurl u so sexeh" or things of that nature. And I'm sorry, but I cannot date someone with such horrible grammar. My academite self just rejects it.
