I saw the ring last night, and boy was I disappointed, I thought it would be far more spine tingling than it actually was...predictable. It had a few things to it's credit... it was presented in a nice mystery form, and it was fun to see how things were peiced together, but in the end it was more sad(as in.." oh that puppy was ran over"!)((not..." Wow, I'm speechless. That is probably the most well-made horror movie since In the Mouth of Madness. I couldn't believe how good it was.

I pretty much figured it out when I saw her pick the fly out of the screen. That + water in bedroom = HOLY FUCKING SHIT SHE'S COMING OUT OF THE TV! Still, it almost looked like they were gonna cop to the sappy ending ("She just needed to be set free, have her story heard!" Blargh) so I got a kick out of the "You weren't supposed to HELP her!" I liked the demon offspring's father. He was cool too. The only part I hated was the patented Sixth Sense Creepy Kid tm, he sucked and drove me nuts. No need for derivitive deadwood, plus I sort of wanted him to die (Not the father! He was cool ( ... )

I didn't hate the movie...and more than anything i was grateful that there was no gratuitous blood and guts....i was just sad that no parts made me jump...
