The first thing Sally did upon returning to the Institute was take a shower. She hadn't done much inside of it besides curl up against the wall and cry her eyes out. Everything that had happened over the last several days kept replaying in her mind, especially the incident with Warren. His killing of the soldiers had scared her, but it was her own killing of some that was eating away at her. She couldn't seem to scrub herself clean enough, no amount of soap would make the horrible feeling in her stomach go away.
She eventually got out, and changed into comfortable pajamas before slipping into her bed. She didn't care what time it was, she just wanted to sleep and maybe forget. Or at least stare at the wall until the nightmares started to come. As long as she didn't have to talk to anyone she figured she was golden.
