Instead I bought some from Foodtown - and my mother looked at the bag and said, "Why didn't you ask me? So I'm trying to sew my kicky mod apron (Simplicity 5961 - round collar! contrast bias tape! cross ties in the back! I'm sewing it again, if this works, in black and white), and I somehow managed within half a minute of touching the machine to BREAK IT. The thread from the top gets stuck on the shuttle. FYI - AP is reporting (acc. to CNN) that Jim Webb has won Virginia, meaning that the Dems have won the Senate.
