You should take him out for Ethiopian at the little place next door to me. Ethiopian food is fun and romantic to eat... you eat with your fingers. And it's not too expensive, at least at the place near me (I think JtB and I ate there for $25 total).

woohoo - congrats!! :) i'm bad at v-day ideas, but ethiopian sounds fun. i'm more of a cook a romantic dinner at home and watch an old black and white movie kind of planner.

Hum. You could go with a classic...My Funny Valentine, The Way We Were, Cassablanca, Shop Around the Corner. Or something fun, but more modern...Love Actually, Princess Bride, You've Got Mail. Or go totally random...Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes, Ghostbusters.

Guess it depends on his personality and if you want it to be a fun/funny evening or super-duper romantic. If you want it to be a little light-hearted, you can do the whole candles everywhere, sexy outfit, choclate and strawberries, but then watch something like Knocked Up or the 40 Year Old Virgin. :)
