Free To Be You And Me (SPN 5.03)
I think I may have died of flailing already today and it's not even 9am yet.
Some brilliant moments in this one, but my brain is kinda stuck on Dean a second before decapitating a vamp declairing "Eat it Twilight!" *snicker* Ohhh I love that man even more than I hate that book/movie, seems he was less than 'dazzled'.
Cas admiting to Dean that he's the only one he can ask to help him made me go 'Awwww' (no really it did *blushes*) In fact Cas was just downright adorable all through this episode.
Wanting to just come out and tell the police officer that he'd seen an angel of the lord and totally not getting why they should lie instead. The upside down FBI badge *snicker* classic. Then niavely almost screwing up Dean's interogation. I can't be the only one who just wanted to give him a big old hug at that point.
The look on his face in that whore house was priceless and I actually loled at him downing that beer. The prozzie (a prostitute named chastity? Would have amused me but Emmerdale did it years ago. Should have called her Jezabel and really freaked Cas out, He'd prob have had an embolism or something) anyway she kind of annoyed me , I mean yeah it would freak you out if a total stranger knew all about your family history, but who screams like they're being butchered because of it... Jeez woman have some professionalism *eye roll*. Felt kinda bad for poor Cas, but it was good to see Dean really laugh again.
So if Dean let's Michael use him as his vessel, he'll end up catatonic in a psych ward somewhere when Michael leaves again? Good to know, Kind of puts pay to the whole 'let michael have him temporarily to kill luce and then live happily ever after' fannon I was working with *sigh* got a lot of rewrites to do now... thanks Kripke.
I have no idea what Cas said in that vessels ear but any language is hot in my opinion. I'm gonna choose to go down the crack route and imagine it roughly translated to 'come and have a go if you think you're hard enough.' Not sure how I feel about the "Come and get me you little bastard." line. I mean on one hand, sure it was hot as hell, but on the other, probably not the best way to talk to someone who literally blew you up last time you met.
The whole' wings of lightning' thing was cool, say what you want about archangels but dudes know how to make an entrance. I'm not buying the whole Lucifer bringing Cas back thing, never have to be honest, it's been suggested around fandom a few times and... yeah, doesn't sit well with me. I actually felt for Raphael, Everything he said made sence (lucifer shot aside). Might not agree with it, but I get it. I even quite liked it, until he threatened Cas then I wasn't so keen, good for Cas for sticking up for himself though "You're my little bitch." You just got pwned Raph mwahahahahaha.
Dean's little pep talk in the impala was really well pitched I thought. Love that he supported Cas even though he doesn't really believe in his mission. And telling him "I've had more fun with you the last 24 hourd than I've had with Sam in years... and you're not fun." So cute, backlash is gonna be a bitch but hohum.
The only downside to this ep was the whole Sam arc. Just felt like I'd seen it all before, Oh wait I have in a dozen or so different Fanfic's. I mean really who didn't know that Jess was Lucifer the second she showed up? Anyone? No? Meeting a former addict who spotted his problem and gave him hope, erm yeah bit predictable, and of course she was a cute chick, what else could she be *yawn*
Sam as Lucifers true vessel, didn't we all figure that one out sometime in season 4? Just... yeah, little disappointing on the Sam front, but the rest was good enough to over look it.
The preview for next weeks look's erm, not really sure what to make of it. Cas hosting an Orgy? This is the guy who struck out with a hooker right? Just trying to clarify. What a difference 5 years make.
Dean: Are you stoned?
Cas: Generally yeah.
That line is pretty funny, and why not... Hell if the world was really ending that's how I'd roll lol. Hope we find out how Cas ended up that way though and it's not just ignored, that would kinda suck. Oh well guess I'll find out next week, let the countdown begin.
