OKAY, SO HERE'S THE THING.

I've come to a somewhat disturbing realisation that very little in my life right now brings me quite as much joy as American Idol does. Or more specifically, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. (And Ryan Seacrest and his precious twitter updates, lol.) Like, this whole week I've been opening this window to update and realising that I've got nothing to say ( Read more... )

how Ashes to Ashes has left me feeling underwhelmed lately

THIS. Although this week was pretty good, it's just lost something? And I have no idea where they're going with their overall storyline and it's just sad. But it's still pretty. lol

Yeah, I watched a bunch of S1 eps the other day and it was sooo much better. I JUST REALLY MISS FAMILY HIJINKS AND THE CLOWN, I GUESS. I'm hoping the final two episodes kind of grab me back in but for some reason I was expecting this week's to amp it up (I guess because last season's episode 6 was so awesome, lol) and that kind of bummed me out. We did get something resembling Alex/Gene bodily contact this week, though, so I guess I should be grateful. :P

Uhhhhh... *scratches head* That link didn't change my life. In fact, it just made me more confused. But whatever makes you happy. :)

Or I could talk about how Ashes to Ashes has left me feeling underwhelmed lately

Aw, sad. IDK, it's not last year, but it still brings me heartponies and joy. The next two are the last two, so I'm hoping they shall be bringing it. Word.

Oh dude, I made the mistake of watching some S1 the other day and got all grabby hands about the clown and the colors and the family biz, so idk. I'm ~determined~ to stay positive, though, so. AND YES, FINAL TWO EPISODES WHICH WILL SURELY BRING IT.

I've pinpointed that my big problem is that this season seems to have become The Gene Hunt Show, and while I love him it's THE ALEX SHOW, OKAY? :x

THAT SAID, all the Ray is Gay hints make me happy, and Shaz and Chris are SO ADORABLE I COULD SQUISH THEM and Alex is still crazybonkers and adorable and wonderful and ilh so much and there are USTsexytimes and there is KEEEEEEEEEEELEY on my screen every week. Life could be worse. :P

You know, it is funny you say that about it becoming the GENE SHOW, because I was so worried about that and I think they have been doing a better job not going all the way that way than I thought, so far at least, esp. with eps 3, 4, and 5 which had a lot of fantastic Alex focus. But, yeah, this last one had a good chunk of Gene-ness and less Alex-ness, but I thought it was interesting at least, him in the cell and him and Alex in the cell and oooh. [The Gene getting attacked thing was totes anticlimatic, even if it lead to cell scene.] Definitely they are working towards something to do with What Gene Is, and I'm generally okay with that cuz I like of the Gene Hunt, but yeah, I do know what your saying re: its a bit problematic. KEEP IT THE ALEX SHOW, PLZ.

ot all grabby hands about the clown and the colors and the family biz, so idk.Yar, I think a problem is that last year, every level of the mystery was so deeply personal and intrinsic to Alex that there really was no way to do something that incredibly personal again, re: her ( ... )

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS POST. (And not b/c you linked me, I swear.)

I haven't seen Star Trek yet; I'm sort of interested, but only since it's being called "this year's Iron Man," and I really loved Iron Man. But I know even if I see it, there's very little chance it'll make me fangirly. There's nothing else going on in my (fandom) life to get all fangirly over, but American Idol has been filling that void so perfectly.

I'm working on a picspam to be entitled: Let's face it: it's not as though I was particularly cool to begin with, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love American Idol.

CANNOT. WAIT. Also, the picspam title describes my entire life.

Haha, Star Trek mainly made me worried about the vast amount of canon knowledge I possessed despite never seeing a single episode in my life. Osmosis, I guess?

Also, the picspam title describes my entire life.

Lol, seriously. I gave up on being ashamed when I remembered that Robbie Williams is my fourth most played artist on last.fm.

I AM EXCITED FOR THIS PICSPAM OF YOURS, YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I feel the same way as you do in that I want to update, I do, but everything seems to pale in comparison to this? I DON'T KNOW. I feel a bit lame in admitting that, but whatever. My shame in watching this show started fading weeks ago. The play count on my iTunes speaks for itself, really.

Also, I haven't watched the past two episodes of Ashes to Ashes. Maybe it's just me being swept up in all of this lately, but I haven't had a push to watch them just yet. Although, since everything else I watch is currently on a hiatus, I might do that soon.

One day, the world will be a place where it is not lame to admit undying love for American Idol. LET US HOPE THIS WILL HAPPEN SOON. And hey, ~Kradam~ seems to be converting a lot of folk! :P (Lol, nobody can resist a bromance.)
