I am one of those people who simply dislikes exercise. In an attempt to get it done, however, I had been going with friends to a swim aerobic class once a week. Meeting with friends makes it easier to go. Having brunch afterwards also helped

Clearly we're both overdoing it, at least on occasion. Since I started strength training I don't get these kinds of headaches nearly as often; I suspect the one I've had this week is due in part to training while fatigued.
Did the swim class involve any sort of stretching, warm-up or warm-down? I'm terrible about doing that when I should but it can help.
