ive been watching the democratic and republican conventions these last few days or so and this morning while watching the republican convention i was completely disgusted. and i mean that in a very literal sense. i got sick to my stomach watching Palin and Giuliani talking "trash" about the stupidest and most insignificant things like the sets used

a lot of times i'm disillusioned/indifferent with politics - especially american politics - but at the moment, i'm thinking it'll be really terrible if mccain wins, because the republicans will so goddamn smug about beating the EVIL LIBERAL COMMIE LEFT'S goldenboy. and i hate smugness. as if the egos of the loudmouths on that side aren't big enough already.

oh and, obviously, the electoral college is totally dumb.

Did you see the part where some guy said "OIL!" and Giuliani made a joke and everyone started chanting whatever it was about oil? The whole thing just seemed like a circus.
