I loved elementary school. Middle school was awful, due to the other students, and high school was okay, but I was pretty surly for at least half of it.

Oh, and I learned how to slow my breathing down to one breath every two minutes in second grade. 10 minutes to recess? It's only 5 breaths.

Second grade was where I realized I knew a lot more tha the teacher about a lot of things.

I like learning in a structured environment. I HATE the pressure and the bullshit. I hate that I might not be able to further my education to a masters because *Gasp* I work to pay for my education and therefore I have trouble getting a GPA above 3.3.

Of course here I am complaining on livejournal instead of studying.

I liked school, but only because I thought I had them totally scammed and rarely had to actually do any work. School was unbelievably easy for me, to the point where I was bored most of the time, and I liked it for the social aspect and because it gave me the ability to play sports and stuff.

In retrospect, it was a waste of my time.

I wish I'd known then how unimportant the opinions of my peers would be in the grand scheme of things. I'd have studied harder, gotten better grades, and told 'em all to fuck off.

Instead, I stuck with just number three. And by sixth grade, I went straight from the Gifted and Talented school to the Emotionally Disturbed school, never passing go or collecting $200.
