I don't care what or who he was relating to, it's DISGUSTING. The fact that any woman would be forced to gestate a baby under ANY circumstances, let alone in a rape situation - regardless of whether or not she was a fucking virgin or religious, is so morally repugnant that it literally makes me ill.

I've already sent a donation to planned parenthood in South Dakota and I plan to volunteer at the PP in my area. This crap has gotten my activist ass IN GEAR.

It's all happening so quickly. I mean they have planned this for 32 years - but the speed at which the dominoes are falling now takes my breath away.

I clicked a link and apparently they were displayed in San Francisco too - but people riding the buses defaced them. God, I love living in the bay area sometimes.

I'm really hoping against hope that this full-bore-ban scenario is going to backfire on the fundamentalists. They would have gotten much further with their agenda if they put in provisions for rape and incest. Even dubya doesn't approve of the total ban, and that's saying a lot.

I think that the case will reach the supreme court and the challenge to it is very real - it will be difficult in its current incarnation to be found legal, even with the court stacked as it is. There are still 5 justices that have pro-choice sentiment, so I'm hoping that the ban goes down in flames and roe v. wade is re-affirmed.

Either way, it's a scary time for women and choice.

Unfortunately my outlook isn't as rosey. I don't think they plan to go after R v W at all - but to grant personhood to cell clusters.

At that point R v W doesn't matter - women still have a right to privacy - as do the contents of their uterus.

With this state stuff going down the same way slavery did - I don't think we will loose the right FOREVER or anything - but lots more women will be bleeding.

Gotta love the 9 months one. An abortion of a viable fetus that late is not actually an abortion but inducing pre-term labour (and accepting risks to the fetus).

She would also need to fight back with ALL of her strength - collect DNA under at least 8 fingernails - scream at an appropriately alarming volume throught the attack - have the worst sodomy in the history of man performed on her before after or during the vaginal rape - pray to "the one true god (tm)" during the ordeal - blush appropriately during questioning - and, of course, promise she will never let it happen again.

Then daddy will let her free.
