I really enjoyed this chapter, all the sweeter for waiting an extra week. :)
Being primarily a Viggo girl, I like the episodes where he and his charming "family" feature prominently and I loved the discussion with Hugh about horses.
This line : What was this land that every man Wind in the Grass encountered coupled with other men? made me laugh put loud! Poor Wind in the Grass, no wonder he is confused! *g*
Glad you enjoyed the chapter, mooms, especially after waiting an extra week!
And I'm also glad to hear that you enjoy the chapters with his family. They're a huge part of who he is as a character, and there's no separating them from him. And his horse definitely counts as family.
As for Wind... well, he's been introduced to a very special group! *grin* But no, probably not the best example of the white world.

Wonderful chapter as all of them are. I love Wind taking care of Hugh and love also Viggo telling him how good it was. I understan that Hugh is worried about his future but I hope they are going to find a way to help him and Eric - sweet Eric here-. Marton shows why he is the boss and Vin has to calm himself. Poor Karl. Thank you so much for sharing. Martha

Thank you, Martha! There's certainly a lot for everyone to think about after this one, isn't there? We'll see how that progresses in the weeks to come!
I saw an ad for this comm in adult_karl. I have spent my entire weekend reading this whole community. I love it very very much!
a couple of questions though? In one chapter, did y'all refer to Colin having been at the Freeman house for a bit? As an angry drunk? When was that?
Why the choice for Karl as an American? I love that he is a Kiwi and miss that aspect of his personality here.
How far in advance is the storyline planned? Do you have an end iin sight? Is it write as you go? Is there a general storyline already and you just flesh it out aand continue until it peters out?
Wow, hello, and welcome! You must have had quite the busy weekend! Thanks for friending the comm, by the by! As I'm sure you know, that is the fastest and easiest way to get your weekly dose of Freeman's! We usually update every Thursday morning

Well worth the wait (although I rarely do any waiting because I'm so far behind reading *blushes*). I love how Wind is taking care of Hugh, though I don't sense any attraction to Hugh on his part, I think Hugh may feel something toward Wind.
Sneaky Karl, using his injuries to distract Vin from further violence. I hope Eric can convince him to give Hugh a second chance.

And, Karl is made of complete love whether he's in all his Kiwi glory or in an American AU persona.

Can't wait for more.

Oh definitely, Wind is 'just' treating the captive honorably (and trying to avoid the urge to check in on a certain 'Young Chief'.
As for convincing Vin (or others) to give Hugh a chance... Oy! I see rollercoaster adventures ahead.
