[Not over the communicators, at least -- in fact, he makes an effort to use them as little as possible. Nonetheless, he offers a small grin in return, folding his arms over his chest.]

(Roy is walking through the library with a few books under his arm when he sees Ed. Walking over to stand behind him, a smirk crawls onto his face.)

I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised to find you here. (He glances over at the pile at Ed's feet before placing his own books down next to him. Looking over the shelf, he calmly pulls a book out and looks through it.) Looking for some light reading?

[ And because Reid is Reid, he's been sitting there for a good while too, literally piles of books next to him and the stack is growing. It does that when it takes you five minutes to read, like, 400 pages. When Ed speaks up is when Reid finally notices him, and his eyes flick momentarily down to the various books the other has. ]

[He glances over from his standing place at the bookshelves; damn. So much for having some quiet time. It's something he would expect here more than at home, but somehow the opposite seems to be true. Blinking at the question, he glances down at his own pile of books.]
