I know the feeling of being "older" then some of my favorite lolitas and friends, and it does make things pretty awkward at times!
But atleast we're the same age, hehe~

lols in my community i'm the only one my age. there's ether a ton of young girls. or girls who are 4-5 years older than me XD so its hard to connect with them

I was lucky enough to find a lolita who is my same age only 15 minutes from me!
Her and I are best friends now!

currently i'm stuck on this korean horror movie called phone. o.o it was weird.. but had a pretty good story line to it

O gawd, I always feel so awkward too around the younger generation. Like sometimes, they act like my age *I'm 24 too @.@* And then they tell me they're 16 or 17 and I'm all just O.O'

What I'm more worried about are the parents of these sub 18ers. Cause all it takes is one sour apple who can't handle cross dressing guys to ruin a meet for everyone *or just a few people*.

I know that feeling lols. we had to have a girl leave the community because she made parents worry. most of the parents think i'm a mature 16 year old though XD

I'm 26. I know the feeling. I'm part of the Los Angeles group. Though I rarely show up to things since they always seem to be significantly inland or are opposite things I need to attend.

You mentioned Korean horror movies in the comments. Have you seen a tale of two sisters? It was on netflix for awhile (not sure if it still is). Great horror movie.

it's ok i can't show up to any of my local meets because of school ether. lols they always plan them at night.

Netflix is such a wonderful time sink. I don't watch tv anymore but every so often I end up marathoning various shows on there or watching random movies at 2 am when I can't sleep.

Do you go to any of the local conventions?

I went to AX twice, haven't been able to afford to go again though. I do attend ALA every year. this year I'll be missing friday though. My user picture was actually from a photoshoot at ALA last year

Ah, the age thing! Such a pain.
A lot of the girls in my comm seem to be my age, but I've seen in smaller cities it's only high school kids.

There should definitely be more lolita-inspired Horror. X-Cross and Gothic Lolita Psycho were too awful x3
