A certain divine teenager was clillaxing in a tree about ten feet up, glancing down and watching this individual rolling the joint, and raises an eyebrow. It was something he hadn't witnessed in regards to human behavior. He cranes his neck for a moment and watches him.

"What are you doing?" he calls from above.

Stein looks up at the voice and oh hey, Shinigami in a tree what the hell.

And then he actually processes Ryoji's question and looks down at the joint held delicately between his fingers.

Well this is slightly awkward and probably making him out to be a terrible role model. (Heh, pun not intended, because he's obviously a very good roll model.) "Nothing," he lies smoothly, fishing around his pocket for a lighter.

"What are you doing up in that tree?"

"I know drugs when I see them." Ryoji says rather plainly as he swings down from his branch and lands on the ground next to him, taking a seat on the ground. He glances at him awkwardly, almost smirking.

"I was up there merely because I like it." he adds. "It's nice being higher up."

Stein snickers at Ryoji's unintentional - or maybe it was actually intentional? Who knew with this kid - joke. "Being higher up is nice. Especially here, I'd imagine. What do you think?" He takes a long drag, blowing a trail of smoke at Ryoji when he exhaled.
