Okay, so lrdrandallslady and I were talking about cross stitching on pos_sess_ed's thread on beading. She showed me some of hers and I promised to show her some of mine :)

WOW!!! These are amazing! I love the detail that's in the Nefretiti... I wouldn't have wanted to giver her away either.

The dragon that I showed you before was originally for my Hubby to have at work, but I couldn't let him go. He was temporarily moved there during our remodel this summer, but I'm looking forward to returning him to his rightful place in my living room soon!

Thank you SO much for sharing. And good luck with that blanket for your brother. I've never been brave enough to tackle something that big!

Nefertiti is really something Skye! I love her face, neckpiece and headdress, of course, but that border... o.O It must have taken forever! Just beautiful...

The Flapper girls! How fun! They look all dressed up and ready to PAH-TAY! I wish the shot was tighter to view the bead detail...

The blanket will be cherished forever. You can't beat a one-of-a-kind gift that is made with love. Such a thoughtful gesture.

That's PRINCESS Contessa! I notice you keep referring to the blanket as yours when the actual ownership is clearly established in photographic evidence.

I think if you click the link, you can zoom in.

The nefertiti took me over a year to complete, but then i also took a 6 month break in between teh face and the border. The border i completed while watching the entire gilmore girls series.

The blanket will definitely be one of a kind. it's my pattern and i'm using a program to convert the kanji and text to pattern form. his fiancee will appreciate it. he'll thank me but his fiancee will appreciate it.
